Individual Counselling Services
Grief can touch every aspect of our lives—our emotions, relationships, sense of identity, and our ability to imagine a meaningful future. Whether your loss is recent or occurred many years ago, you do not have to face it alone.
I have many years of experience supporting individuals, families, and caregivers as they navigate the complex and often overwhelming experience of grief and loss.
I offer a safe, peaceful, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can speak openly about your thoughts, feelings, fears, and questions. Together, we will explore your unique experience of loss, deepen your understanding of grief, and identify ways to cope that are both practical and meaningful.
Grief counselling is not about “getting over” the person who died or leaving your grief behind. Rather, it is about learning how to live with your loss, honour your relationship with the person who died, and gradually rebuild a life that feels meaningful and authentic.
People seek grief counselling for many reasons, including:
  • The death of a spouse, partner, child, parent, sibling, or close friend
  • Anticipatory grief when a loved one is seriously ill
  • Caregiver stress and exhaustion
  • Traumatic or sudden loss, including suicide
  • Complicated or prolonged grief
  • Feelings of guilt, anger, regret, or unresolved issues
  • Losses related to divorce, illness, retirement, or other major life transitions
My role is not to tell you how you “should” grieve, but to walk alongside you with compassion, respect, and professional guidance.
Please know that in these difficult inflationary times, I am doing my very best to keep my grief counselling services accessible and offered at reasonable fees. I strongly believe that financial concerns should never prevent someone from receiving the support, understanding, and guidance they may need after the death of a loved one. If cost is a concern, I encourage you to reach out anyway so that we can discuss possible ways forward together.

I also understand that meaningful counselling should never feel rushed. For that reason, I provide each client with a full hour for every session — at no additional cost — rather than the shortened 45–50 minute hour that has become so common in many practices today. I believe people deserve the time and space needed to speak openly, feel truly heard, and explore their grief at their own pace.
Receipts are provided for all sessions. In many cases, these receipts are accepted for reimbursement by insurance companies and may also be used as medical expense receipts for income tax purposes. As coverage can vary, you may wish to verify details directly with your insurance provider or accountant.

If you are struggling with grief and loss, I invite you to reach out. You do not have to walk this path alone.

Grieving is a process that takes as long as it takes. There is no expiration date on our grief, just as there is no expiration date on our love for the person who has died.
