  • Why consult a grief counsellor?

Grieving is a process that takes as long as it takes. There is no expiration date on our grief, just as there is no expiration date on our love for the person who has died.

Tears are liquid emotion—a natural expression of grief, love, pain, and loss. When words fall short, they speak for us.
I offer a safe compassionate space where your grief can be expressed without judgment or pressure to “move on.” Whether your loss is recent or long past, we work together to understand your experience and support your healing in a way that feels right for you.
You don’t have to go through this alone.

NATALIE SEGALL, M.A., LCC, ACNN, MEMBER OF ADEC (Association of Death Education and Counseling), CERT. THANATOLOGY.
LOSS & GRIEF THERAPIST AND COUNSELLOR,  CONSULTANT, EDUCATOR, AND LIFE-CYCLE CELEBRANT - HELPING INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS, FAMILIES, AND HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS. FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF GOOD GRIEF CENTRAL.

I am a qualified thanatologist and a highly experienced grief therapist, counsellor, consultant, facilitator, and educator. For many years, I was trained and mentored by Dawn Cruchet, a leading expert in grief, and I also undertook extensive, in-depth psychotherapy training at the Argyle Institute.

I offer thoughtful, professional support to those facing loss in all its forms. Whether you are grieving the death of a loved one, coping with illness, or supporting someone through a difficult time, you do not have to navigate it alone. My role is to listen, to guide, and to help you find your footing amid the uncertainty and devastating pain of loss.

My work includes supporting individuals, families, caregivers, and professionals—including healthcare providers, clergy, counsellors, and others—who are affected by chronic or terminal illness, death, dying, grief, and bereavement.

Free grief and loss support groups are also available through Good Grief Central, the organization I founded, ensuring that anyone in need has a place to turn.

“The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not ‘get over’ the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same.
― Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
